  • Herbal teas are made from tisanes, which are blends or infusions of dried fruits, flowers, spices or herbs in water. Herbal teas, also known as herbal infusions and less commonly called tisanes, are beverages made from the infusion or decoction of herbs, spices, or other plant material in hot water. Many herbs are used in herbal medicine. Herbal tea ingredients are generally recognized as safe, and most people can safely consume herbal tea in moderation. However, you should avoid teas if you have specific allergies or take medication that may have interactions. Additionally, some people may experience side effects like an upset stomach.

  • Caffeine occurs naturally in the tea plant, Camellia sinensis, so all brewed tea contains some caffeine. Caffeine-free teas include peppermint tea, super fruit tea, chamomile tea, apple cinnamon tea, sweet ginger tea, rooibos tea, liquorice and lemongrass tea. Made from herbs, spices, roots or flowers, herbal teas are caffeine free.

  • The leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, an evergreen shrub. Tea, an aromatic beverage prepared by steeping in freshly boiled water over cured young fresh leaves and leaf buds of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis. The four main types of Tea that all come from the Camellia Sinensis plant: Black, White, Green and Oolong tea.

  • 1 to 2 cups a day of your favorite blend. Spread throughout the days of choice. Tea can be hot or cold upon serving. Recommend if drinking more than one serving, drink one in the morning and one in the evening. 1 tea bag for 8 ounces- 12 ounces cup per serving. Depending on your liking.

    Boil 2 to 3 tea bags. Take a pitcher and fill to the top. Refrigerate or Store in a cool climate.

    Enjoy! You may also reheat the tea.

  • Recommend boiling the tea bags. Not everyone has a tea steeper. Depending on the choice to boil, microwave or steep tea bags, how long you let the bag sit in the hot water the flavorful it will be. You can remove the tea bag from the hot water if you feel you've reached the desired taste. If not satisfied, you can reuse the bags as well. Simply add the tea bag back to the hot water until you reach the flavor intensity you like.

  • Studies have shown the caffeine in tea boosts metabolism and energy. Everyone's body is different. Contact a healthcare professional for further information about herbal teas and weight loss.

  • Many herbs are not safe for children. Do not recommend it for babies or children. Ages 1-18 do not without consent. Herbs are used in herbal medicine all over the world. Some herbs are safe for children but done, monitored in small doses used as a sedative, for inflammation, antiemetic (vomiting), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), treat migraines, depression and so much more. Please research or contact a healthcare professional before administering medication for medication interactions with ingredients for children as well as adults.
